The Grand Canyon... finale

This is the third and final post re: the Grand Canyon. It was just such a massive experience. It would not be fair to only give it 1 post.

The hike up was nasty. My legs were already in pain from the day before, and his was uphill with increasing altitude. We took plenty of stops and made some hiking friends along the way.

Close to the top we saw some mountain goats which was pretty exciting.

Reaching the top was an exhilirating achievement! Here is a pic of us in front of the warm and toasty fireplace in the lodge.

Went shopping in the gift shop and purchased a t-shirt! It says on the back "Go Hike a Canyon" and then Grannd Canyon National Park underneath. Here's a shot of me wearing it... haha.








And here ends our expedition into the canyon, a monstrosity of rock and water which can only really be fully appreciated on foot.





Made our way back to Las Vegas, crossing Hoover Dam by night, to Jen's house to help her mum prepare for our very first Thanksgiving.
