LAS VEGAS!

Thanks to the 5.5. hour delay, the flight into Las Vegas was breathtaking! The Luxor pyramid shooting its light straight into the atmosphere, the Bellagio displaying its magical water show, the Stratosphere swinging people around on its rides... Just amazing! The airport is right next to the strip so touchdown was just brilliant. I was so excited! As soon as we stepped into the airport there were pokie machines (they call them slot machines). They were everywhere- all out in the open!! I was amazed and appalled at the same time.

I attempted my best impression of the thorny devil...

After catching the monorail/tram thing to the main terminal, we were greeted by Jen and Matt (her brother) with a special sign made just for us! So good to see familiar faces!

Once we'd made it to Jen's house, we found her family waiting for us to go to dinner. Went to the Hacienda, a VERY nice casino managed by her dad. The food was divine (lobster bisque and garlic artichoke)... mmmmm SO good and all for free! We were so grateful for jen's family and the hospitality they showed us while we were there. After dinner, Jen took us for a drive down 'the strip' just because we couldn't be in vegas and not have done that. I got a great pic of Paris!



















Got home to find that my camera battery charger didn't work..but we thought it was the plug adapter to decided to go to Walmart!!

I was so excited. It was 1:30am and we were at Walmart. Danny purchased an adapter only to find out that the charger still didn't work so concluded that the charger was the source of the problem. But hey, the trip to Walmart was fun =) By that stage we were pretty wrecked so decided it best to get some rest...
